Your information, kept for a purpose
Lockdown Studios uses the details you send us to answer enquiries, arrange playtests and improve our games. We do not publish form submissions or sell contact details.
Project and call enquiries
We collect the name, email address, service choice and message you enter. You may also provide a phone number, organisation, contact preference and suitable time. We use these details to respond and discuss the work you asked about.
Mobile testing pool
With your consent, we collect your name, email address, mobile platform and any device details you choose to provide. We use them only to consider and contact you about relevant playtests. You can withdraw from the pool at any time by emailing us. Joining does not guarantee an invitation.
Game prototype feedback
If you rate, like or comment on Drift Protocol, we collect the feedback and any name or alias you provide to improve the game. Comments are private to the studio, not posted publicly. Please do not include sensitive information in a comment.
Where submissions go
When the forms are configured and accepting submissions, records are saved in private Vercel Blob storage and a notification is sent to our studio Gmail account. Vercel hosts the website and may process technical request information needed to serve it. Access to submitted records is limited to the studio and the service providers needed to run these features.
How long we keep them
We review project enquiries, testing-pool records and identifiable game feedback at least every 12 months and delete them when no longer needed for the stated purpose. Our normal maximum is 12 months after the last relevant contact or activity, unless a legal duty, active agreement or unresolved request requires longer. We also remove a record sooner when you ask us to, where we are permitted to do so. This review covers both private storage and studio email copies.
Website assistant
Luna currently provides guided answers from information built into this website. In this mode, your question is handled in your browser and is not sent to an external AI provider or saved as a chat transcript by our website. Live AI chat is off for launch; we will update this notice before enabling any provider-backed chat. Please use the contact form for personal or sensitive project details.
Website analytics
When enabled, our first-party visit counter records the page viewed, the previous page on this site, a referring website's domain, and the visit time. It sends these through our server to a private Supabase database so studio staff can see aggregate page counts and common routes. It does not store a visitor ID, IP address, full referring URL, query string, or enquiry-form content. The browser's Do Not Track setting is respected. Our intended retention is 90 days, using a scheduled deletion job that must be confirmed before tracking is enabled. Tracking is inactive until the studio completes the Supabase setup.
Private studio access
Approved studio staff can request a short-lived sign-in code by email to view enquiry records in the private admin area. Sign-in challenges and sessions are stored in private storage and are not shown to website visitors.
Other services
Some pages embed YouTube videos, and the site loads Google Fonts. These services may receive technical connection details when their content loads. Links to third-party stores or marketplaces open their own sites and policies.
Your choices and questions
To request access, correction or deletion, or to leave the testing pool, email Lockdownstudio021@gmail.com. We may ask for enough information to verify that a request relates to your record. If you are unhappy with our response, you can contact South Africa's Information Regulator.
